David May is an executive search and talent advisor with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including 18 years based in Melbourne. He partners with organisations to appoint senior leaders and strengthen leadership capability across professional services.
Before moving into recruitment, David worked as an analyst for banks and fund managers, bringing a strong commercial and analytical lens to his work. Over his recruitment career, he has operated in both external consultancy and internal talent roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective on hiring and talent strategy.
Since joining Lawson Delaney in 2014, David has focused on executive and senior leadership appointments across professional services. He works closely with clients on market mapping, succession planning, and remuneration strategy, helping organisations attract, assess, and retain high-calibre leaders.
As well as executive search and recruitment, David has supported many remuneration reviews and executive assessments for companies across diverse sectors from Law and Technology to Financial Services, Retail and Manufacturing.
He is currently embedded on-site with Frontier Advisors as their Talent Advisor, where he supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, remuneration reviews, leadership development, and the design of incentive programs.
