Darren has been working in the recruitment profession since 2007 and has been with Lawson Delaney since its inception in 2012. Working with industry leading CEOs and Managing Partners, Darren has developed solid consulting skills that allow him to focus on a more holistic view of the recruitment process from end to end. This helps to drive down recruitment spends and lift company performance and culture, in addition to more general business consulting and coaching where required.

As the Managing Director of Lawson Delaney, Darren leads a team of high performing consultants that recruit across the region for Accounting & Family Office positions at all levels. Lawson Delaney’s Professional Services team proudly work with some of the largest accounting brands in the world and many of Australia’s high performing boutiques. Darren is known for encouraging his team to partner with businesses to drive talent acquisition strategies, unbundled recruitment projects, executive search assignments, and market mapping. Darren also leads Lawson Delaney Managed Recruitment Solutions, a bespoke recruit arm to the group that offers onsite solutions for clients who want to leverage more value for their recruitment spend.

Darren leads his markets not only in the recruitment space, but through a number of events and programs aimed at supporting the ongoing growth and development of the Accounting profession.

Colm has been working in recruitment since 2008 and holds a Master’s in Business Management. He joined Lawson Delaney in 2013 and has been instrumental in developing the Professional Services team from its early days.

With experience spanning LinkedIn Talent Solutions, online recruitment platforms and recruitment agencies, Colm has built a global perspective on talent, having worked across Ireland, Dubai, India, China, and Australia. By 24, he was managing a recruitment business, and by 25, he led a team of 70—giving him insight into recruitment from multiple perspectives and cultures.

Colm focuses on senior Business Services Accounting roles in public practice, usually at Partner and Partner-elect levels. Leveraging his extensive networks and market knowledge, he provides tailored recruitment solutions that help organisations secure optimal talent while supporting candidates in achieving their long-term career goals.

Well known for his ethical, honest, and consultative approach, Colm has introduced initiatives such as Lawson Delaney’s first Pathways to Partnership mentoring program, developed educational content for candidates and hiring managers, led seminars, webinars and roundtables, and has been featured multiple times in the Australian Financial Review on accounting recruitment trends. Early in his career, he was recognised by RCSA as one of Australia’s top five recruiters—a reflection of his expertise in this market.

Colm has a passion for driving a positive influence in people’s lives, careers, organisations, and legacies.

Outside of work, he is a dad of three boys and uses whatever spare time he can find for football/soccer (more coaching nowadays than playing), BJJ, tennis, rugby, astrophysics, philosophy, and of course, his family.

Tania began her recruitment career in Perth in 1999 and has since built a strong track record supporting organisations across Australia and New Zealand. She specialises in recruiting across all levels in professional accounting practices, and also in the senior finance market in commerce and industry.

With a Master’s degree in Psychology, Tania started her career at a global recruitment consultancy, working in both Perth and Auckland. During this time she specialised in recruiting accountants across the senior finance market in commerce and industry, as well as across all levels of professional practice. She also gained valuable experience recruiting within the legal sector and working in executive search and selection.

Tania leverages her deep market knowledge and industry networks to provide consultative, value-adding recruitment solutions. Known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach, she builds trusted relationships with both clients and candidates, helping organisations strengthen their teams while supporting professionals to progress in their careers.
